For years Mountain Khakis was working with printed workbooks. Some of the issues discovered with printed books were a limited amount of pages, small product images making it difficult to view details of their products, a desire for a more seamless process going from product information to sale, and uncaught errors post-print in the books.
My team and I sought to find a better solution. Understanding how important the workbook is to the sales process, we wanted to create a solution that not only solved the immediate problems mentioned above but was scalable to support the future needs of the sales team.
The decision was to go digital — by creating a digital workbook we were able to present the company with a cutting edge tool, flexible enough to boost the sales process and dynamic enough to highlight the strengths of MK products. The new digital workbook experience allowed for unlimited page opportunities. We now could spread products out so the viewer can view each product with more detail. We created and managed a document to track errors where immediate edits could be made. We implemented features such as linking products to our online sales database for a more direct line from the wholesaler to the sales team, videos linked to each product, enabling more opportunities to teach and highlight product details, and lastly, a tool that can be sent to any client around the world to optimize sales when an in-person meeting is not possible.
With the new digital workbook, experience allows us to create a document with far fewer errors. We sought out a way to provide features like linking products to our online sales database for a more direct line to sales, video linked to each product providing more opportunities to teach and show product details, a tool that you can send to any client around the world to optimize sales when you cannot go in person.
